The marine industry is a chief contributor to Spain’s economy and its boating sector, in particular, has been an asset over the years as the country established itself as a desired tourist destination. The last few years, following the lockdowns, have experienced excellent growth. Spain’s coastal tourism, fishing, and shipping industries exemplify the nation’s ability to capitalize on its maritime potential and foster long-term prosperity. Thanks to a coastline that’s the definition of picture perfect, Spain has successfully capitalized on its scenic landscapes to promote marine tours and expeditions. One notable player in Spain’s boating landscape is the Freedom Boat Club, which offers a unique concept that simplifies navigation in major maritime areas worldwide. Members gain access to the largest fleet of motorboats, ensuring hassle-free experiences across Spain, France, Denmark, the UK, the US, Canada and Australia. With boats available 365 days a year and comprehensive maintenance included, members can explore the seas without concerns about mooring, insurance or repairs. Recently, Freedom Boat Club announced the expansion of its footprint in Spain with two new locations in the Costa Blanca region. These additions, situated in Alicante at Marina de Alicante and Altea at Club Náutico Campomanes, mark the company's continued growth trajectory. With a total of 19 locations in Spain and 23 across the Mediterranean, Freedom is solidifying its presence in key markets. Arturo Gutierrez, General Manager of Freedom Boat Club, EMEA, cited the expansion as a strategic move to enhance the brand’s reach and provide members access to top international boating communities. The new locations, part of the HUB Levante, will offer members unlimited boating across the Valencian community, complementing Freedom's existing presence in Denia, Valencia, Alicante and Altea. In addition, the locations are to feature state-of-the-art Quicksilver models equipped with Mercury Marine engines and Navico technology, showcasing the synergy across Brunswick’s brands.
