Изложения в Essen, Germany за Възобновяеми енергии

The renewable energies industry recently saw a massive win in the form of the newly announced photovoltaic system installed at the Wassergewinnung Essen’s waterworks in Essen-Überruhr. This project, executed with the support of Iqony Sustainable Energy Solutions (Iqony Sens), marks the water supply company’s foray into green electricity generation through solar energy. The newly installed PV system boasts an output of approximately 200 kilowatts (kWp), utilizing 608 solar panels that span almost 2,000 square meters. Annually, this system is projected to produce around 170,000 kWh of green electricity, but that’s only a single benefit. The system is expected to save over 91 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year, an amount comparable to the annual emissions of 13 medium-sized cars driving 50,000 kilometers each. This initiative represents the beginning of a broader strategy for Wassergewinnung Essen GmbH. Tobias Grau, the company’s Commercial Manager, emphasized the alignment of this project with their long-term intention to generate a growing proportion of their electricity locally here from renewable energies. The PV system’s economic benefits were evident even before its installation. Iqony Sens, the Würzburg-based renewable energy services provider that won the tender, demonstrated the significant cost savings and environmental impact potential of the project. Their detail-oriented approach coupled with meticulous planning were the defining factors in securing the contract. This project is a pilot, with further installations planned to enhance local renewable energy generation at the waterworks. The integration of solar power not only supports the company’s sustainability goals but also provides a cost-effective solution to energy needs. The Essen water production facility’s move towards solar energy exemplifies the practical implementation of sustainability principles, highlighting the synergy between environmental responsibility and economic efficiency. As Essen’s waterworks continue to expand their renewable energy initiatives, this project sets a precedent for other utilities and industries.
