Изложения в Taiwan за ИТ и Технологии

Taiwan’s IT & technology industry is distinguished by its investments in research, development and innovation. With industry giants like Foxconn, TSMC, and HTC, Taiwan has not only made a name for itself but also significantly influenced the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) landscape. The country’s expertise was showcased in 2019 when its telecom hardware manufacturers played a crucial role in launching Rakuten Mobile’s Open Radio Access Network (RAN) service in Japan. As Taiwanese companies aim to penetrate the broader telecom supplier market traditionally dominated by European firms, they are also working on developing their own Open RAN applications. In a bid to enhance the resilience of global supply chains, Taiwan and the United States initiated the US-Taiwan Technology Trade and Investment Collaboration (TTIC) in 2021, which focuses on five pivotal sectors: 5G, cybersecurity, semiconductors, renewable energy, and electric vehicles. The TTIC aims to secure a stable supply chain and leverage each nation’s strengths in technology, which will only boost Taiwan’s IT & technology industry’s position on the global stage. As concerns over the reliability of submarine communication cables grow, Taiwan’s authorities are exploring new avenues in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite communication technologies. The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) and the Ministry of Digital Affairs (MODA) are at the forefront of policies aimed at advancing telecommunications and digital infrastructure in Taiwan. By facilitating the adoption of LEO satellite systems, Taiwan seeks to enhance the resilience of its communications network, particularly in the face of natural disasters. To attract global LEO satellite service providers, the Taiwanese government opened several frequency bands for telecommunications services in 2022. These frequency bands allow for both synchronous and non-synchronous satellite fixed communications, offering opportunities for US NextGen satellite communications companies to establish a foothold in Taiwan.
