Beyond research and clinical work, Nuremberg’s pharmaceuticals industry benefits from an extensive network of companies involved in research, development, and production. Key organizations like the Bavarian Medical Valley Association and the KIMPG (Regional Initiative Medicine-Pharmacology-Health) have helped facilitate knowledge transfer. Nuremberg is also home to important start-up incubators such as the Center for Innovation and New Companies (IGZ) and the Center for Innovation in Medical Technology and Pharmaceutics (IZMP).
