Изложения в Harrogate, UK за Градинарство

Harrogate has a deep history when it comes to gardening as it’s the site of the Valley Gardens - 17 acres of English Heritage Grade II listed parkland, which have been cared for by local gardeners over the centuries. Harrogate’s gardening industry is flourishing as a result. At the heart of Valley Gardens lies Bogs Field, a unique landscape believed to host more mineral water springs than any other place on earth. With thirty-six mineral wells scattered throughout the gardens, each with its own distinct character, Valley Gardens offers visitors a captivating blend of history and nature. The floral displays in Valley Gardens are nothing short of spectacular, featuring seasonal dahlias and bedding flowers that adorn the landscape throughout the year. Thanks to the tireless efforts of the Friends of Valley Gardens, a group of dedicated volunteers working in collaboration with Harrogate Borough Council, the gardens are continually restored and regenerated. Among the notable restoration projects spearheaded by the Friends of Valley Gardens is the rejuvenation of iconic landmarks such as the Sun Pavilion, the New Zealand Garden and the Japanese Garden, which was reopened by Koji Tsuruoka, Ambassador of Japan, in 2018. Caring for these spaces has produced some of the top gardeners in the country and has made it possible for Harrogate to boost its local economy through exceptional events like the Harrogate Valley Gardens Artisan Market, which is held on the first Sunday of each month. The charming market offers visitors the chance to explore a wide range of artisanal creations amidst the natural splendor of the gardens. Organized by Little Bird, this market exemplifies Harrogate's vibrant cultural scene and its embrace of local craftsmanship and creativity. Visitors can buy the many local produce and fruits being grown here, as well as flowers and gardening supplies.
