Изложения в Stavanger, Norway за Енергия

Stavanger, often hailed as the Energy Capital of Norway, exerts considerable influence over the energy industry in the country, not to mention the rest of the world. A big reason as to why that is has to do with the high concentration of energy companies headquartered in the region, among which are the majority of operators on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, including the national energy giant Equinor. As a result, Stavanger boasts one of the strongest energy clusters in the world. This concentration of relevant players has turned the city into an international testing ground for pioneering petroleum exploration and production technologies. Governmental organizations such as the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate and the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway, along with the employer’s association Norwegian Oil and Gas, are also based in Stavanger. This creates a robust ecosystem that supports and regulates the energy sector, ensuring both innovation and safety in operations. Although the country is mainly reliant on fossil fuels for power as well as export, Stavanger finds itself a hotbed of activity centred around the energy transition. Here the Norwegian Energy Solutions cluster (Equinor, Shell, National Oilwell, Baker Hughes, Aibel, and Aker Solutions) aims to improve renewable and sustainable energy solutions. This collective effort is crucial in steering Norway towards a low-emission future. The Stavanger region is blessed with natural conditions ideal for hydroelectric power production, which currently contributes 10% of Norway’s annual hydroelectric output. As the country advances its renewable energy agenda, Stavanger is set to play a key role with Norway’s first commercial offshore wind farms slated for development off its coastline. Thanks to its robust infrastructure and the presence of so many players, eager to put their resources towards innovation and research, Stavanger is well on its way to define the process of energy transition in the near future.
